For my embellished canvas prints, I begin by selecting a small group of my favorite paintings from past work. Each piece starts as a reproduction and is brought back into the studio and given new life with fresh layers of oil paint. Spending time with these paintings again feels personal and grounding. The process is slow and intentional. I work across most of the surface, adding tone, movement, texture, and depth. It is not a quick highlight of a few details—it is a true return to the artwork, a chance to reconnect with it and build on it in a way that feels meaningful.
By the time an embellished print is finished, it has its own personality and carries the energy of both the original painting and the extra time I spent with it.
